We are seeking to appoint an inspiring and energetic Teacher of Science (Biology) with a commitment to ‘achieving excellence’ for all our students. First and foremost you will be an excellent teacher and have an unwavering passion for your subject. You will have a clear focus and understanding of what makes outstanding teaching and learning, provide excellent outcomes for students.

The position will require the ability to teach KS3 science and KS4 and 5 Biology.

The post would suit a Newly Qualified Teacher as well as more experienced practitioner.  Candidates should have high expectations of themselves and others; be a good communicator with excellent interpersonal skills; have excellent subject knowledge; encourage investigative and practical work in science to drive learning; be flexible and a good team player with a good sense of humour!

This will be a challenging but extremely rewarding position which often involves working closely with some of our most vulnerable and challenging students.  Duties include working in partnership with teachers to foster effective learning for all pupils in order to access the full curriculum and to provide support to those students that are particularly weak in literacy, numeracy and basic organisation skills. In addition, there will be opportunities to provide 1:1 and small group intervention. If you have the patience and the stamina needed to make a difference to our students then we would love you to apply.
